Food Review: Changi Village Hawker Centre

This is a food review I was supposed to do a very very very long time ago. But somehow, it keeps slipping my mind and I keep forgetting to do this review.

So a few months ago, I went to Changi Village with my family. My parents wanted to visit the nearby Indian Temple. After going to the temple, we went to the hawker centre to have breakfast. I think this was during the Chinese New year period.

We went to the part of the hawker centre where you could find more muslim stalls, the place where groceries are sold as well. We wanted to have some teh tarik, nasi ayam pen yet, nasi lemak and briyani.

I for got which stall my brother bought the nasi lemak from, but it was not bad. The rice was quite flavorful and the chilli was good. Nothing special though. You can have such nasi lemak anywhere else.

The Briyani was bought from a tall called "Azizah", unit number 01-40. The briyani was really good. It almost tasted like my mum's home-cooked briyani. It was not very cheap, but the portion was not too bad and the rice itself was very fragrant. The curry tasted amazing and the chicken was relatively tender. The gravy the chicken was cooked in was excellent. Overall, the briyani passed with flying colors.

The nasi ayam penyet was bought from "Sari Bistari Changi Village Ayam Penyet", unit number 01-41. It was good as well. It was not as good as the one I had at A & A Muslim Restaurant in Yishun but it was still fine. The chilli and rice was not as flavorful as the one I had in Yishun.

On the whole, we had a good meal as a family. Enjoyed our morning together.

Here are some photos. First time using my good camera for the photos.
